Saul Halter's passion

The Halter Propeller company was founded in 1982 by Saul Halter, wood-worker and aviation enthusiast.

He began by designing a propeller for his own ultra-light aircraft; then, after doing a course in propeller design, he started the production of propellers for the ultra-light and motorised hang-glider market.

Halter Propellers is also involved in certain special projects, such as the construction of a device for the installation of windows at the National Library.

The Gulf War : The turning point ...

The Gulf War marked a turning point in the company’s activities, with the advent of drones or UAVs to operate pilotless reconnaissance flights.

By adopting industrial production methods, and intensifying research and development, the company was then able to respond to the demands of UAV manufacturers and became one of the major suppliers to this market.

In 2004 Saul Halter died in an aircraft accident. Since then his family continues to develop the company, building on the values which have made its success: the design and construction of high performance propellers for UAVs.
